Elliott's 5 yr check up

Elliott has now reached the school age where the visits are very routine and they check all the growth and development skills that he has learned.

Elliott now:
weight- 44lbs- 72 percentile
Height- 44 3/4 inches- 84Percentile
His Hearing and Eye sight are Great!
We are very lucky he is a very healthy growing boy

I could list all the things that he does now, but the list would be never ending.... I guess what doesn't he do!

Elliott is very independent and learns many things once showed how to do them. One of his bigger accomplishments was back in September he learned how to ride his Bike with No training wheels at age 4.
Brent and I are very proud of him as he has started school this year and has really grown as a person in the past two months. Elliott is typically the shy one who did not talk much and we are quickly learning that he is no longer shy! He is making many new friends at school.

Some of Elliott's Favorite things to do right now are:
  • Ride Bike
  • Play with our dog Molly
  • Any outdoor play
  • Going Camping
  • Going to Florida (which is not a common trip, he just talks about it all the time)
  • Playing with Friends that he has made
  • Play Lego's (usually with Dad)
  • He loves to do anything that Brent does!
Stay tuned in, I am sure I will have plenty of things to post over the Holidays!!

October 15th

Elliott's actual Birthday was on a Friday and Brent and I took the day off to spend it with Elliott. We decorated the house the night before when Elliott was sleeping and he was very surprised. I knew that he was excited for his Birthday when he went to bed the night before, so.......
The morning of his birthday I heard little footsteps run out into the living room and turn on one of our lamps! I then looked at the clock and it was 5AM!!!! Brent kindly walked out there and told Elliott that is was too early to wake up, but by that time he saw all the balloons and got excited. He did however end up going back to bed until.... 6:45AM. He then walked into our room and said "AM I FIVE YET!".  It was pretty cute. We all woke up.
Brent made Elliott some of his special oatmeal pancakes and then it was off to the water park. Elliott wanted to go swimming on his Birthday. So we took him to the Water park in town here and had a blast we had never been there. Below are some pictures from the day. We followed by dinner at the Airport.

Elliott Turned 5!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, that's right. My sweet little man Elliott is now a... super, fantastic, energetic, lovable 5 year old.
Elliott celebrated his Birthday with Friends and Family. The day was perfect and almost 70 degrees out. We couldn't have asked for a better day.
While the family enjoyed good food and conversation, the kids had a blast jumping on the trampoline, cracking the pinata, playing with all his new gifts and mostly running around.
We made some great Mexican food followed by an impressive cake made by Grandma Gayle.  Elliott loves dragons and some how talked Grandma into making probably one of her harder cakes she has ever made. Elliott the dragon turned out great!
Thanks again for everyone who helped put together Elliott's party and make it a really special day. We greatly appreciate all of our family and friends that could join us.

1st Fall trip to Eke's

We took our first trip up to Eke's this past weekend and it was a bit windy, but turned out to be a great day. It was also a working day. The boys pictured below were working on the road up to the land. So they were really busy. Then we did have some time to play after that.

Another Great fishing Trip

We were able to go back up to the Red Cedar Lake and do some fishing. We have our own personal Guide named Larry and Denise. My parents came along too for the day. It was great to see them again and they allowed us to stay up at their cabin. We caught a lot of fish, but for some reason we didn't take a final picture of the fish! We did catch a bunch that we had to throw back. Elliott mostly liked playing with the leaches. Anytime someone needed a leach, Elliott was their man. He did also manage to pull in a few blue gills and learn how to reel them in.
Here are the leaches that kept Elliott busy the whole fishing trip. He took this picture himself, along with some of the others.
Here is one of the fish that we caught. Its not a great picture, and the fish looks like its eating Elliott's ear!
Elliott is Below here and it looks like it didn't load properly, but we had him wrapped up like a burrito when it got dark. He was getting cold.

Summer Kayak/Canoe Trip

We decided to go on a Canoe trip from the Chippewa dam to Lake Hallie. This trip took about 2 1/2 hours, so not that long. We did stop at a half way point and have some lunch by the River. The day was great and we saw a lot of wildlife and found a lot of cool rocks! I think if you asked Elliott the rock picking was his favorite part. Our boat was about 30 lbs heavier when we got home! Uncle Jared and Auntie Tricia also came along with us and took most of the pictures.

Happy 4th of July

This year the 4th of July was definitely a rainy one. That was just fine, because we had lots of great food to eat down at Grandma and Grandpa Johnson's House.  Elliott helped me make this great fruit pizza that day. All the berries that we used were handed picked by us that day. It was a lot of fun and hope to make this again sometime.
