Elliott's Fall Program

Friday before Halloween, his class put on a Fall Program made up of a few songs... all the parents could come and watch and it was about a 20 minute program. There was 9 kids there and they were all able to dress up for the day. Elliott decided to be a fireman this year and he wore his costume to school. That same day a real fireman came to school to talk with the kids. Elliott thought that was pretty cool.
As far as singing goes, Elliott is not much of a singer and he did not do too much singing. He told me after the fact that he thinks singing is silly. So.....he did not sing. Oh well there was about 4 others that did not sign either... mostly just the girls sang.

October 18th... Family Day

This day we were able to take a trip up to the Hunting land and do some four wheeling and walking around. It was a great day out finally and the sun was out. It was a bit windy, but it was a great day to fly Elliott' s kite. It was just the three of us that went up there this day. There are usually others. Elliott was also able to shoot his first gun ( i know what you are thinking....) It was only a 22 and it was with Dad's help of course. Elliott was a great shot and hit the target several times. Below are some pictures from the day.

Elliott's Birthday.

Elliott woke up early on his Birthday and decided that he should put on his Party hat right away...So here is a picture ....

Later that night, Elliott was able to Blow out his candles on some cupcakes he helped bake, with grandparents over. Not pictured was our dinner at Cancun restaurant where Elliott Choose.... there was some miscommunication to the staff who's Birthday it was and they came out with a hat and a tequila shot for Brent and not Elliott....instead of just bringing him out Ice Cream... Elliott was so scared when they put the hat on him that he looked like he was going to cry. Below are some pictures of him helping me bake the cupcakes and then him blowing them out...

October 15th-Elliott's 4th Birthday

Today Brent and I took the day off to spend with Elliott on his actual Birthday.. It was on a Thursday this year. Elliott decided that he wanted to go bowling. So I called Ojibwa to see if they were open and they were... being it was in the middle of the week, there was hardly anyone there. It was a great time and Elliott had a blast. We also ordered a bunch of food and ate there too. It was a great afternoon, and being as it was snowing on his birthday, there was not much to do outside. We played two games and he got a 74 and a 75 on the other... He did get one strike and managed to beat mom on the first game.

Pleasent Valley Tree Farm

Elliott was able to go on a field trip with his preschool class the first week in October.
The parents were able to attend and be drivers for the class. Elliott had a great time, we walked in the spooky forest, did the corn maze, played on the hay bails and bouncy castle. Elliott was also able to bring home a pumpkin that day.We are going to have to go back there as a family.

1st Day of Preschool

Elliott is officially going to school. Below are some pictures of his first day. We took some pictures under the Red Maple. Elliott is doing very well and tells people everyday that he goes to school all by himself.
Elliott has grown up a ton over the past 6 months. He loves his new teacher and interacts really well. I think his favorite part about school so far is snack time. :)
He only goes to school Monday, Wednesday's and Fridays, so this is a new schedule for him. On the off days he asks why he can't go to school and says that he wants to go that day too. So that makes us feel good that he enjoys going. There is a total of 11 kids in his class.

Funny story... The first day of school the teacher told them to all find a chair or mat in the story corner. Well since Elliott was one of the first kids to the classroom, he chose a chair. The 1st chair in fact. So the second day came and there was a different kid who sat in that 1st chair that day. Elliott came home and said that a kid sat in his chair today.. so we tried to explain to him that there is no assigned chair and that anyone can sit where they want. Well ever since that day, whenever the teacher opens the door for school Elliott makes a beeline to that chair. He doesn't talk about it or make a big deal about it, only Brent and I noticed this... It was pretty cute.

Elliott and his Rocket Bike

Elliott just decided that his Rocket bike is the next best thing. He was not really interesting in riding it in the past, but now he is on it every night of the week. We have all ready taken several Bike rides as a family. Elliott used to ride in the bike trailer, but in his words "riding my bike is way cooler mom"

Silly Face Take 1

To all of you who know Elliott very well, you know that the next few pictures are quite normal for him. For those who do not see Elliott that often, here is just an example of how silly he can be. Elliott is usually pretty shy around people he doesn't know, so be prepared...

Wedding

Hi all, We had a wedding this past weekend in Colfax. We were able to catch up with family and Friends. Here are some pictures from the wedding. There was a lot of little girls for Elliott to play with. He is used to playing with boys at daycare, so I think he found the girls very interesting.

Eke's Camping Trip 2009

Each year, we try to get everyone together for a camping trip up on Grandma and Grandpa Johnson's land. We call it Eke's Hill. This year it just so happened to be on a long weekend of Labor Day. This is probably one of the prettiest places to be. There were so many leaves already changing colors and the sunsets were beautiful. Below you can check out one of the sunset pictures. The weather this weekend was also better then we could have even planned. It was between 75-80 Degrees all weekend and the nights were in the 50's. Not to mention the great campfires we had and the panoramic view of the stars. We did a lot of 4-wheeling and went down many trails. We also drove over to Perch lake and were able to go swimming. To end the evening we always make a trip over to the Wonderspot for dinner.
Below are just a few pictures of our fun weekend. Hope you enjoy.
