1st fishing trip this year

This  past weekend we went to the Red Cedar lake and went fishing. It did end up raining on us once, but overall we still caught quite a bit of fish.

Elliott just got a new pole and he got a bite on it using a leach. He pulled in a nice 17 1/2 inch Walleye! He was so cute, because he could hardly hold the pole up, as the fish was so strong. Brent got the net and we were able to take a picture of the fish before we had to throw him back.

Mother's Day 2010

This year on Mother's day, my boy's suprised me with a project, the day before mothers day. It was kind of cold out that day anyway and Brent came home with three different size flower pots and some paint. Him and Elliott had went to the store to buy the supplies.
So Brent said that we all could paint a flower pot what ever we wanted to paint on there, and then after they were all done, they will all be glued together and make a bird bath. I have always said that I wanted one, so this was a great suprise. As you can see below we paint most of the afternoon and then Brent put it all together and you can see the end picture is complete. It turned out beautiful. I LOVE IT!!!

We also took a drive to Ervine park to feed the animals. They were all out that day!  I am truly blessed to be able to call my self a mom. I have the best son in the world and he has taught me so much! With that said, I wanted to thank my own mom for everything that she has done for me and taught me.

FLORIDA TRIP 2010

In late April, our family took a trip with the Candell's to Florida. We all stayed at Grandma and Grandpa Johnson's house Kissimee . We had a great week. We took the kids to see Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom.  Elliott went Miniature golfing for the first time and he loved it. He wanted to go every day after that.
This year Elliott was old and tall enough to go on most rides. His most favorite ride was It's a small World as we had to go on that twice. Coming in Second would have been the Swiss Family Robinson Tree house. Elliott also went on Big Thunder Mountain. This I would have to say scared mom more then it did Elliott...he is not supposed to be big enough to ride on roller coasters yet right!

Anyway, the weather was perfect and everyone had a great time. Below are just a few....and I say a few of our pictures from the trip..... I would have to say though, Swimming was Elliott's favorite part of the whole trip. He learned how to swim with no life jacket in the pool....with watchful eyes from mom and dad.  Also there are some pictures below of the Disney castle after dark during the firework show!  As you can see the boys had a great time building forts and laughing together...
